Joelle is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in a variety of fields. She serves as a neutral investigator, conducting independent employment investigations for clients to assist them in fact-finding and resolving workplace disputes. Joelle also has specialized training in Title IX investigations, including conducting effective campus investigations, and she is trained in trauma-informed investigation techniques. Joelle effectively leverages her understanding of litigation risk with neutral-oriented work. Her experience and training give her a unique perspective on the dispute resolution process.
Prior Experience
Joelle Gryczman is an experienced litigator who worked for many years in the Los Angeles office of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, LLP. At Manatt, Joelle handled a variety of general business litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts and other commercial matters. Joelle represented a diverse group of Manatt’s clients, including large healthcare systems, healthcare insurance providers, major retailers, and nonprofit entities.
Joelle has appeared in matters in state courts and in arbitration. Joelle is admitted to practice in California state courts and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is also a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Employment Law section.
Before her legal career, Joelle worked at the United States Department of Education in the Office of Intergovernmental and Interagency Affairs, where she communicated information about the Department’s initiatives, policies, and programs to state and local elected officials as well as to other Federal agencies.
Joelle graduated from the University of California Davis School of Law, where she was a Senior Symposium Editor of the UC Davis Law Review and was admitted to Order of the Coif. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, graduating Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

- Joelle has served for many years on the Education Cabinet of an Early Childhood through eighth grade school.
